Strong Winds, Power Outages Expected in the Capital Region

The National Weather Service has issued advisories

Here we go again, a little less precipitation this time. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind advisory for the Capital Region effective 10pm Friday night until 8am Saturday.

Alyssa Caroprese from CBS 6 says wind gusts could once again reach 50 mph overnight.

East of the Capital Region, parts of Vermont and Massachusetts could experience wind gusts reaching 60 mph. The map below shows the expected wind speeds Friday night into Saturday.

And while we're at it, let's add a little snow to the mix. Although nothing too significant in the Capital Region, the North Country could see several inches in the higher terrain areas.
