September 18th is Rice Krispies Treat Day! It’s not an “official” holiday, but do we really care? Everyone loves the sticky goodness of a Rice Krispie treat. Rice Krispies is a breakfast cereal first sold by Kellogg’s in 1928. T

as a promotional vehicle for the cereal.

If somehow, you’ve never had one…Rice Krispies Treats are a dessert made by combining Kellogg’s Rice Krispies with a combination of butter or margarine and melted marshmallows or marshmallow creme. These days, you can add candies of any sort to them…and even make them with other types of cereal (think Fruity Pebbles, etc.)
