After More Than Two Decades, Saratoga County Restaurant is Closing

After more than two decades serving the community, Abeel’s Restaurant in Milton is getting ready to say goodbye. Owners Tony and Julie Abeel announced they’ll be closing the doors for good on September 30 as they head into retirement.

The couple has been part of the local restaurant scene for 27 years, opening Abeel’s in 2002 on Rock City Road. If you're a regular, you can expect a scaled-back menu in the coming weeks, but favorites and specials will stick around until the final day.

The building is now for sale, and Tony Abeel hopes the space continues to operate as a restaurant. Gift cards should be used before closing, as new ones won’t be issued.

In a message to their customers, the Abeels shared their gratitude: 'It’s been our pleasure to serve you.' Abeel’s is open Wednesday through Sunday, with hours and menu info available on their website.
