Wings Falls Quilters Guild Presents “Celebrate The Art of Quilting” on May 3
SOUTH GLENS FALLS, NY – The Wings Falls Quilters Guild invites the community to “Celebrate The Art of Quilting” on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maplewood Parkway Methodist Church in South Glens Falls.
This special one-day event will showcase a variety of quilts created by guild members, highlighting both traditional and modern quilting techniques. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience an old-fashioned bed turning, a unique storytelling presentation where quilts are displayed one by one and their histories shared. Additionally, quilting demonstrations will take place throughout the day, offering insight into the craft’s many techniques.
For those looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, a boutique will feature a selection of handcrafted items made by talented guild members. Attendees can also take part in voting for their favorite entries in the quilt and quilt block challenges.
Adding to the excitement, guests will have the chance to win a stunning raffle quilt and raffle basket, making this event not only a celebration of quilting but also a fun and interactive experience.
The Wings Falls Quilters Guild welcomes all quilting enthusiasts, crafters, and community members to attend this inspiring event. Admission is $5 (cash only) and children under 6 are free.
