Two People Arrested in Fort Edward After Being Found With A Missing Child

Both are being charged with kidnapping

According to News 10 ABC, two people were arrested in Fort Edward and charged with second-degree kidnapping and second-degree criminal contempt after they were found with a missing child from Westchester County in their car. 

Chantilly Joachim, from Wyoming and Babatunde Pittman from Newburgh were at the Cumberland Farms on Broadway in Fort Edward when police were called to that location for a "suspicious car". When police arrived they were able to identify the child, who was reported missing from Westchester County. There is also an order of protection for the missing person against Joachim.

Both Joachim and Pittman were arrested and arraigned. Joachim is being held on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond while Pittman is being held on $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond.
