Legendary voice actor Peter Cullen has passed away.

It's been a rough 10 or so days for Hollywood and beyond with the losses we've all suffered. From Hayden Panettiere, to Dolly Parton, Tim Curry and now Peter Cullen.

While you might not recognize his name, you would certainly recognize his voice. Cullen was the voice of Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots in Transformers, for 40 years. He also voiced Eeyore in "Winnie The Pooh", The Predator in the "Predator" movie, KARR in "Knight Rider", and the voice of Mario in the animated "Donkey Kong" series back in the 1980's.

Cullen, who was 85, is said to have passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family according to this statement released by his loved ones -

"Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family - and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember 'be strong enough to be gentle.'"

Peter may be gone but we will remember his voice forever
