Music Icon Randy Travis leads the way for CMA & Grammy Winners Deana Carter, Kathy Mattea, Bryan White, Wade Hayes, Billy Gilman and The Statler Brothers’ Grandsons Jack & Davis Reid to appear in Kevin Richards’ ‘Close Up’ Country Concert Series - ‘Nashville In The North Country’!

Country music fans are in for an exclusive experience when seven-time Grammy Award winning country music legend Randy Travis returns to the stage at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls, NY on Monday, September 28 at 3 p.m. Travis’ return follows five prior sold-out appearances in Kevin Richards’ ‘Close Up’ Country Concert series.

Kevin Richards, a seven-time CMA broadcast nominee and winner, launched the first ‘Close Up’ series with Travis in September 2022.  The ‘passion project’ was curated with the mission of placing talented ‘Throwback’ singers and songwriters back in the spotlight, in an intimate environment, where you can see and hear every note, and participate in a bonus ‘Live On-Stage’ interview.

“Randy & Mary Travis: A Conversation with a Legend” will feature stories and songs hosted by Richards and performances by Country Music duo Martin and Kelly. The inspirational presentation will serve as a fundraiser for the Randy Travis foundation, with proceeds dedicated to raising awareness for stroke and aphasia and providing arts and music enrichment for children. The two-part purpose connects a diverse group of people to support stroke survivors, encourage research for stroke and aphasia prevention along with providing opportunities for at-risk children to participate in arts and music programs.

The ‘Close Up’ series has already featured icons and veteran performers like Crystal Gayle, Larry Gatlin, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss, Aaron Tippin, Tom Wopat, Billy Dean, T.G. Sheppard, Janie Fricke, David Frizzell, Ty Herndon, Doug Stone, Georgette Jones (daughter of George Jones and Tammy Wynette), Dion Pride (son of Charley Price) and Michael Twitty (son of Conway Twitty). The grassroots ‘Traditional’ Country Music showcase, bringing ‘Nashville to the North Country’, is supported by the Lake George Area and the Warren County Supervisors.
