Proctors in Schenectady is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary season.

A milestone year is on the horizon for one of the Capital Region’s leading arts organizations.

Proctors Collaborative officially revealed its 2026–27 theatre seasons Monday night, launching a landmark year as Proctors in Schenectady prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary season.

The announcement came during the annual Season Announcement Bash on the MainStage at Proctors, where performers, students, sponsors and community members gathered to reveal the upcoming lineup.

The KeyBank Broadway Subscription Series at Proctors will bring several major touring productions to Schenectady during the season.

The shows scheduled for the MainStage include:

  • “BOOP! The Musical” (Oct. 13–18)

  • “The Notebook” (Dec. 1–6)

  • “Hell’s Kitchen” (Dec. 29–Jan. 3)

  • “The Wiz” (Feb. 23–28)

  • “MAMMA MIA!” (April 6–11)

  • “Just in Time” (June 1–6)

  • “The Phantom of the Opera” (June 23–July 4)

The season blends newer Broadway hits with iconic titles. One of the highlights is “The Phantom of the Opera,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary musical that ran on Broadway for more than three decades and remains one of the most recognizable shows in theatre history.

Meanwhile in Albany, Capital Repertory Theatre (theREP) announced a lineup featuring contemporary plays, satire and a summer musical.

The 2026–27 season at theREP includes:

  • “The Last American Newspaper” (Sept. 25–Oct. 18), a stage adaptation of Ken Tingley’s memoir about local journalism in Glens Falls

  • “The Magi” (Nov. 27–Dec. 24), a music-filled reimagining inspired by O. Henry’s The Gift of the Magi

  • “Eureka Day” (Feb. 26–March 1), a satirical comedy about vaccine debates at a progressive school

  • “Clyde’s” (April 23–May 16), a comedy by Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright Lynn Nottage

  • “Young Frankenstein” (July 9–Aug. 8), Mel Brooks’ musical comedy based on the classic film

The season announcement event also featured performances from students and alumni of the Collaborative School of the Arts, along with musical previews tied to upcoming productions.

Subscriptions for the 2026–27 season go on sale March 10, with additional programming and special events tied to Proctors’ 100th anniversary expected to be announced in the coming months
