Unlike its larger, more radiant counterparts, this full moon is a micromoon, appearing smaller and dimmer due to its position farther from Earth.
For those in the Albany, NY area, the best viewing time is about two hours after sunset—around 10 p.m.—when the moon rises in the southeastern sky near Antares, the fiery heart of the Scorpius constellation.
