Here's why Route 9 between Albany & Lake George will be busy next Wednesday

The Repose of the Fallen Procession is coming to the region.

If your drive takes you down U.S. Route 9 anywhere between Albany and Lake George, be prepared to see some extra traffic on Wednesday, May 20th.

The Repose of the Fallen Procession is taking place on Wednesday, which will be a collection of Humvees, antique military transport vehicles and motorcycles escorting the remains of 44 individuals who perished in 1776 at Lake George to their final resting place, at the Lake George Battlefield Park.

The procession begins at the New York State Museum in Albany at 10AM, then makes its way over to Route 9 where it will take the highway up through Latham, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls to arrive at the Lake George Battlefield Park at Noon.

From there the Reinterment Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 11am over at the Lake George Battlefield Park in Lake George.
