The proposed change in code would allow e-bikes in pedal assist mode only, restricting faster e-bikes with throttle control. Some residents suggest regulating e-bike speed in congested areas, while others advocate for more bike lanes to accommodate e-bike riders. No timeline has been set for the implementation of new laws.
