School officials decided it would be best to close the school today.
Albany Police say that The Albany Academies is closed today due to several students receiving a threatening message late last night.
The message said -
“If you value your life, don’t come to school tomorrow.”
According to the Albany Police spokesperson, Megan Craft, the threat was sent through a text message to several students. Then it spread even further when the message was spread on Snapchat.
At the moment, there is no word who sent the message but police are asking anyone that received the message to report it to the police. This is pretty much all we know at this time. Once we get further information, we will be sharing that with you.
