A Popular Latham Restaurant Is Now Permanently Closed

Their last day was this past Friday.

Carrabba's Italian Grill in Latham closed it's doors for good this past Friday, February 23rd.

Carrabba's, which is owned by Bloomin Brands, was a fixture in Latham for the past 19 years. Unfortunately for them and us here in the Capital Region, it would appear that Carrabba's was part of the 41 restaurants that the company is said to be closing. Bloomin Brands also owns "Outback Steakhouse", "Aussie Grill", "Bonefish Grill", and "Fleming's Prime Steakhouse Wine Bar". While the company own over 1400 restaurants throughout the U.S. and 13 other countries.

In a statement to News 10 ABC, Bloomin Brands did say -

“Closing a restaurant is never easy,”

They added  -

“This was a business decision that is not a reflection of the management or staff.”

If there is any "silver lining" to this, the employees were given severance packages.
