I don't know about you, but it seems I'm hitting potholes on almost every road I travel on in the Capital Region. It's something that just goes along with the warmer weather coming our way. All that salt that we used to melt the snow and ice has ripped up some of our roads, and it's going to take a minute before they get repaired. So what can you do? Well, there are a few things to try to avoid ruining your suspension or getting a flat tire. First up, make sure your tires are in good shape and fully inflated. Take your time as your driving so a pothole doesn't come up on you quickly. Always make sure there are a couple of car lengths between you and the car ahead of you. That allows you to see what's coming up. Be aware of puddles. Try to avoid them. They could be hiding a big pothole in the middle of the road. And lastly, if you see a pothole, make sure you report it to the authorities so they can get out there and fix it up. We all love the warmer weather, it's great, but it does bring potholes along with it. So be aware, you don't want your Spring Fever ruined by a big bump in the road!
