The driver apparently had his license suspended 26 times!

Police arrived at the intersection of Routes 32 & 143 in Coeymans around 2am Thursday after seeing some debris and a damaged guide rail by the Alcove Reservoir. According to the Times Union, the debis trail led them to a much bigger find. A Ford F-150 pickup truck was submerged in the water. Divers from the New York State Police were called in to investigate. In addition to the truck, an ATV, presumed to have been in the bed of the truck, was also found in the water.

A short while afterward, police located a 20 year old man walking nearby wearing wet clothes and appeared intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, DWAI and felony unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, the suspect's license has been suspended 26 times.

He's due in Coeymans court in November.
