The concert will be taking place September 14 outside MVP Arena

MVP Arena is set to host the first-ever Red White and Brew Festival, a special event honoring veterans, on September 14th on South Pearl Street. This free block party promises a day filled with live music, craft beers, food, and community spirit.

The festival will kick off at 2 p.m. with a performance by local country band Skeeter Creek. Following them, national recording artist Darryl Worley will take the stage, known for hits like “Have You Forgotten.” The day will culminate with a headline performance by Army veteran and current Army Reserve soldier Craig Morgan. Morgan, known for his chart-topping hits such as “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” and “International Harvester."

The Red White and Brew Festival is a collaborative effort made possible by Albany County, MVP Health Care, and the Innovation Partnership. The event aims to honor the sacrifices of veterans while bringing the community together for a day of celebration and gratitude.

County Executive Daniel P. McCoy emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “It is important to show our gratitude to those who have served this country. Serving comes with great sacrifice and great risk, and hosting events to celebrate our veterans is a small way to show appreciation for their courage and dedication.”

Deborah Brundage, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at MVP Health Care, also expressed her support for the festival, saying, “This event is a celebration of their sacrifice, and we are committed to showing our deep appreciation for their service. At MVP Health Care, we believe that health is not confined to clinical settings alone. Through music and community, we aim to create a memorable experience that recognizes and honors our veterans’ contributions to our country.”

Throughout the day, local veterans will be honored, and the entire community is invited to participate in this celebration of those who have served.
