It started early Tuesday, crews are trying to contain it

Just over the New York border, another wildfire is raging in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. What's been dubbed the 'Butternut Fire', stared around midnight Tuesday. NewsChannel 13 reports fire crews have been forced to respond on foot due to the location of the fire on East Mountain.

The Berkshire Eagle says almost 100 acres have burned. Smoke from the fire is moving southeast into Connecticut and is not expected to affect Capital Region air quality.

Lee, Mass Fire Chief Ryan Brown says a number of different departments as well as state agencies are providing resources to fight the blaze.
