The new pilot program begins Friday
CDTA is launching SCOOT, an electric scooter pilot program, starting Friday, October 4. Pop-up events will be held in Albany, Troy, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs for residents to try the scooters.
Users can rent scooters through the 'CDTA SCOOT' app, with a cost of $2 to unlock and $0.25 per minute. The pilot will run each weekend in October, with a geofenced area for safe riding. Riders must be 18+ with a driver’s license.
CDTA hopes to expand the service based on feedback. Get more at scootcdta.com.
