It's part of their grand opening celebration

Rensselaer's newest ice cream stand is celebrating their grand opening August 2-4. Mega Kone Ice Cream, which had its soft opening at the end of June, is located at 141 Broadway in Rensselaer. 

Since they've opened, a number of very positive Google reviews have been posted: 

My nephew and I went to Mega Kone and loved it! I took the recommendation of the owner and it did not miss! Honestly, the seating is one of my favorite parts! My 11 year old nephew says, “this would be a great place for tourists to stop at!” And there you have it folks.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! We were at a plant expo in Albany and wanted to get some ice cream so we picked Mega Cone. The owner is funny and kind and patient ….. which is good because there’s a lot of flavors! But overall the experience was excellent. Highly recommend, give this new business your business!! Mega Kone offers soft and hard ice cream as well as sundaes, banana splits, ice cream nachos and root beer floats. 

As part of their grand opening weekend, they're offering $1 Kiddie cones through Sunday as well as a chance to win gift certificates store swag and more.

Their timing couldn't be better as temps and heat index values will be in the 90s this weekend.
