The man behind some of music's biggest stars has passed away at age 94

Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys - just some of the names Clive Davis helped to launch into superstardom over his six decade career in the music industry.

Davis was in the hospital back in May with an upper respiratory infection, but was sent home on June 4th where he was said to be recovering. A rep for Davis said he died peacefully at home due to age-related illness.

Even into his 90s, Davis remained active in the music business.

He was 94 when he died on Monday.
