One person was taken to Albany Med with serious injuries.

It was a pretty wild night in Mechanicville Sunday when one man allegedly attacked another with a samurai-style machete. Police were called to Park Plaza around 8pm after getting a report of a man with serious cuts to his arm.

When cops arrived, the victim said he had been attacked at his home but was able to make his way to the shopping plaza to call for help.

Police later tracked down the alleged attacker, 61 year old Brian Reome at his home - however things didn't go exactly smoothly as Reome put up a brief standoff before being arrested.

The victim was taken to Albany Med, Reome is in Saratoga County Jail. Police say the two men knew each other but didn't say what the fight was about.
