The need for speed is arriving at Aviation Mall

A new entertainment venue is coming to Queensbury, as ADK Karting Experience moves into the vacant Sears space at Aviation Mall. The 95,000-square-foot facility will feature an indoor go-kart track, arcade, mini-golf and simulators.

ADK is owned by former professional race car driver Jeremy Treadway, he tells News 10

This is what’s needed for the local area, the Town of Queensbury, and the Aviation Mall. We are offering a clean, family-friendly, professionally run entertainment venue for our community, tourists and race car enthusiasts.

Treadway also owns ADK MX in Fort Ann. The space, once housing the Sears store until it became one of several dozen stores to close in the fall of 2018, has remained mostly unoccupied.  In 2021 it opened as the region's state COVID-19 vaccination center, and for Halloween one year it was used for the seasonal Spirit of Halloween retail location.

The new track is expected to open in the fall of 2025.
