He was 88 years old
In a post on X Thursday, Keifer Sutherland reported that his father, iconic actor Donald Sutherland, had died at the age of 88.
Sutherland starred in over 200 critically acclaimed films including MASH, Animal House, The Hunger Games and The Dirty Dozen. Although never winning an Oscar, he was presented with an honorary statue by the Academy in 2017 in recognition for his decades of work.
