The feline was found unconscious, but EMT's were able to get him breathing again
On Saturday, fire crews were called to a structure fire on Brookside Avenue in Amsterdam. All the humans were safe, but when firefighters went inside they found an unresponsive cat in one of the rooms.
According to a post on the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page, the first responders immediately got the cat out of the house and began performing life-saving care, including giving the kitty some much needed oxygen.
The cat was then taken to a local vet to get checked out.
