A Flavor-Fueled Celebration of Local Restaurants at the 26th Annual Saratoga Chowderfest
The 26th Annual Saratoga Chowderfest took place this past weekend, drawing in thousands of eager attendees for a day of delicious soup tastings and local pride. Held in the heart of Saratoga Springs, this year’s event featured a thrilling competition where area restaurants competed in different categories based on the number of bowls served. The winners were determined by the coveted People's Choice votes, with each establishment showcasing their best chowder to a lively crowd. Druthers Brewing Company was the star of the day, serving over 4,000 bowls and clinching the "People's Choice" for their impressive performance.
The event also celebrated the culinary excellence of local hotspots like Jacob & Anthony's, who dominated the second spot serving 3,001-4,000 bowls and Wheatfields Restaurant & Bar Saratoga sitting in third (2,001-3,000 bowls). Other notable winners included Henry Street Taproom (1,501-2,000 bowls), The Wild Horse Saratoga (1,001-1,500 bowls), The Mill on Round Lake (751-1,000 bowls), as well as The Ribbon Cafe (501 - 750 Bowls) and Bentley’s Tavern in the 500 & Under bowls category. While the crowds feasted on diverse chowder flavors, the event highlighted the best of Saratoga's food scene, making it a must-attend for residents and visitors alike.
