Police Seek Public's Help In Animal Cruelty Case

The dog sustained horrific injuries, and is currently in the care of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society

Police in Schenectady, N.Y., are seeking information about a female pit bull named Lavender who was found severely underweight and wounded near Eastern Parkway and McClellan Street. The dog, now under the care of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, had injuries to her face and ears, with one ear appearing to have been intentionally cut off and fractured teeth. Authorities are asking for the public's help in investigating the case of animal cruelty. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Schenectady Police Department detectives at (518) 382-5245 or the tips line at (518) 788-6566.
