Expect delays and detours
Update 4:55pm: All lanes have reopened. Police are still investigating the cause.
If you're heading east on I-88, be prepared for delays and possible detours. A Western Express tractor trailer went off the road around 11:30 Tuesday. It happened between exits 23 and 24 in Duanesburg. State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil told the Times Union that nobody was injured. No word on what the truck was hauling or what caused it to flip, though roads are slippery due to snow.
Crews will be working to remove the 18 wheeler, but say it will take some time. Drivers are asked to avoid the area between exits 23 and 24 if at all possible.
