The singer continues to recover from cancer surgery

Barry Manilow will be rescheduling his last Albany concert, which was set for April 20th. In a post on the MVP Arena website, the venue broke the news Thursday afternoon:

The Barry Manilow concert originally scheduled for April 20 at MVP Arena is being rescheduled. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new date once it is announced.

A post from Barry Manilow's camp says the singer has not yet been medically cleared to perform:

The MANILOW arena concert performances scheduled for April will now be rescheduled to a later date due to doctor’s orders.

We know this is not the news you were expecting, especially with the shows so close, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

We will update you as soon as the rescheduled dates become available.

Thank you for your patience.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Last Concert in Albany soon.

Barry was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer in December and underwent surgery to remove the cancer. The procedure was successful and he is cancer free, but still needs more time to recover. In a March interview with People Magazine, Manilow confirmed he's not yet feeling 100%, but he's improving and 'getting stronger.'
