If you’ve ever stopped by Hayner’s for ice cream, you already know—it’s one of those local spots that just feels like home. And now, there’s a brand new reason to swing by… especially if you run on coffee like the rest of us.

Steep’d Coffee House @ Hayner’s is officially opening in Halfmoon, and it’s bringing a full café experience right to a place a lot of us already love.

The new coffee house is opening inside Hayner’s Ice Cream and Country Store (148 Route 236, Halfmoon)—and if you know the area, it’s right next to Halfmoon Town Park, which honestly makes this even better. This new addition is set to become a perfect stop for morning coffee runs, park visits, and everything in between.

The new café is a collaboration between Hayner’s owners Craig and Carolyn Hayner and partners Jeremy Herrey and James Dowen, bringing together years of local business experience and a shared passion for quality food and drinks.

“Our motto is “made with love and excellence,” said Jeremy Henney, who along with James Dowen will operate the day-to-day business operations of Steep’d Coffee House @ Hayner’s.

Curious about the menu? Steep’d Coffee is prepared to offer something for everyone, including some returning favorites like Hayner's popular Snickerdoodle coffee—alongside new additions with modern twists.

  • A wide variety of coffee, espresso drinks, and lattes
  • 14 crafted teas and multiple matcha options
  • A signature masala chai latte made from scratch
  • Fresh breakfast sandwiches on baked breads
  • French toast with real maple syrup and Madagascar vanilla
  • Paninis, salads, and sandwiches
  • Homemade soups, quiche, scones, and pastries

The soft opening for Steep’d Coffee House is scheduled for Monday, April 6th from 7am to 3pm. For the rest of April, the café will be open daily from 7am to 3pm, though please note they will be closed on Tuesdays.

Starting Friday, May 1st—which marks the official Opening Day for Hayner’s Ice Cream—the schedule will expand for the season.

Steep’d Coffee House will then be open 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm.

Hayner’s Ice Cream will also be open daily, with hours from 12 noon to 9pm, 7 days a week.

The Hayner Farm Stand is expected to open around mid-July, featuring fresh, homegrown sweet corn and other seasonal items.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee before work, meeting friends, or heading to the park next door, this new café is shaping up to be a must-visit spot in Halfmoon.
