More Information (Magic 100.5 is not responsible for external websites)
Your guide will share facts about the Knickerbocker's, their Dutch settler and Indian neighbors as they navigated through the the early 18th century through the French & Indian and Revolutionary Wars. Learn why the Knickerbocker's and other Dutch settlers left the safety of Albany and ventured across the Hudson River to the forests of Schaghticoke for life with the Indians and the other Dutch settlers!
See our rare 15th century Dutch architecture, the layered wallpapers meticulously exposing patterns from the 18th century onward, and even the remains of a Peace Tree named Watanagemot planted by Governor Andros in 1676! Stop by for an hour and step into the footprints of those people who saw the birth of our Nation.
So much to mull over at Knick Mansion, open every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. till the end of October.
Our tours are free-of-charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. The Knickerbocker Historical Society is a 501-C3 non-profit organization, and all proceeds are utilized for the preservation of the Mansion.
