Two day celebration commemorating the historic 350th anniversary of the signing of a peace treaty between NYS and local Indigenous people. Food. Crafts. Tours.

Please join us on August 1 and 2 as the Knickerbocker Mansion hosts a celebration commemorating the historic 350th anniversary of the signing of a peace treaty between then NYS Governor Edmund Andros and local Indigenous peoples. This 1676 peace treaty brought together the English, Dutch, Mohicans, Mohawks, and the Indigenous refugees of King Philip’s War. The treaty was marked by the planting of a peace tree in Schaghticoke, NY, at the site of the current historic Knickerbocker Mansion at 132 Knickerbocker Road in Schaghticoke, NY. Event will feature Abenaki Nation traditions, culture, and crafts as well as Mansion tours. Breakfast, snack bar, and Chicken Barbecue will be available for a fee.
