Meta has agreed to pay a $1.4 billion to settle a Texas lawsuit over its facial and voice recognition system. It was the first case brought under a Texas privacy law aimed at protecting biometric data. Meta did not admit to any wrongdoing in the settlement. What steps do you take to protect your data online? What laws would you like to see in place to prevent companies from selling your personal information?
