First responders are on site with no report led injuries

An active car fire on Interstate 87 southbound between exits 13S and 12 is currently causing delays and disruptions in traffic this afternoon in the Saratoga area. According to near-real-time traffic reports, first responders are on scene battling a vehicle fully involved in flames on the southbound lanes in the stretch between the Exit 13S (US 9 south, Malta) and Exit 12 (West Nyack/NY 303) ramps, closing at least one lane as crews work to extinguish the blaze and secure the highway. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic and possible detours as fire crews and state police manage the incident; the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation and no official information on injuries has been released at this time. Traffic authorities advise drivers to remain cautious and consider alternate routes if possible while the situation is active.
