A full night of sports is planned for Mexico High School Athletics tonight (Tuesday).

Girls Tennis is at Hannibal starting at 4pm.

Soccer is at home hosting Marshall beginning at 5.

Mexico Lady Bulldogs Softball is at home for a conference battle against Kirksville at 5.

And volleyball takes a road trip to Hallsville starting at 5:30.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 5-1 to the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday (Sunday) at Busch Stadium.

In front of 43,575 people the biggest crowd of the year, with Albert Pujols back in town on Labor Day, the Redbirds were shutdown by St. Louis native Max Scherzer, and struck out 13 times and scored just once.

The Cardinals are in the midst of a 3 game losing skid and are 3 and 1/2 games back of the second Wild Card spot.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Baltimore Orioles 3-2 on the road.

Andrew Benintendi broke a 2-2 tie in the 8th inning, smacking a single into right field, driving in Salvador Perez with the go-ahead run.
