Here’s a concept: A tavern where you can enjoy a meal, some drinks, and sink your friend’s battleship. It will soon be a reality in the city of Glens Falls. The tavern will be called ‘Go Play with Your Food’ and will be located at 126 Glen Street.
The establishment’s owner, Mark Shaw, told News 10 what inspired his idea:
In 2020, we were down in North Carolina for the summer, and one of our buddies says ‘Hey, we’re going to a place to play board games. Of course, my first thought was, ‘That sounds terrible – I hate ‘Monopoly!
Mark, his wife Kristen and a group of friends are working on opening the new tavern by January of 2023. So far, they say they have over 600 games available upon opening. Although they plan to tailor the atmosphere toward families, they will have a selection of beer, wine and mead. Affordable food options will be available on the menu as well.
