King Charles III Makes First Public Statement On Death Of Queen Elizabeth II

Charles, the new king of Britain, has issued his first public statement since the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. In a brief statement, Charles wrote “We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother.” He said the Queen’s death will “be deeply felt” throughout Britain and by “countless people around the world”.
